In The Distant Past
In the distant past I have run a writers group (at Ottackar's book shop in Sunderland), and attended, appeared at and/or generally made a nuisance of myself at conventions including Gen Con UK, FIASCO and the Dudley Bug Ball. I made several appearances at Conpulsion and, unaccountably, was invited back.
I was also active for a time on the defence industry convention circuit, as an expert on asymmetric warfare and naval weapon systems. I've not done much in that field since the mid 2000s, but the possibility remains of a return. These days I mostly demonstrate a more personal sort of violence and tell people how to write books.
