I write books for a living, as you probably already gathered. I’ve written a fair amount of fiction including short and long stories and full-length novels. My very first published piece was a short story in the delightfully named Mindless Slaughter fanzine back in about 1984 or so.
I still have fond memories of tales like Warriors Three, Until The Last Man Falls and The Width of a Blade. Sometime I may update them and republish in some new format. But in the meantime...
I write more non-fiction than fiction, though that was not my intention when I set out. Nevertheless, I mainly specialise in martial arts/self defence, military history and related topics. I’ve made the odd foray into children’s’ books and fields like transportation and space travel, and every now and then I produce a novel.
The credits lists are as complete as I can make and keep them, but it’s possible that I’ve forgotten about some of the works or just not got around to updating the list recently. Or the book you’ve found could be by some other Martin J Dougherty. I guess stranger things have happened…
